Siemens Reyrolle Software SIGRA Fault Record Evaluation
Quick analysis after a line fault is crucial. Engineers must identify the cause quickly and take corrective action. This process helps restore the original line condition and minimize downtime. Siemens Reyrolle SIGRA 4 software helps engineers analyze disturbance records from digital protection devices and fault recorders. The software displays and measures data in different views based on the analysis requirement.
SIGRA 4 shows measured variables in time-signal displays. It also supports vector diagrams, circle diagrams, bar charts for harmonics, and data tables. Using recorded fault data, the software calculates additional values such as missing quantities in three-wire systems, impedances, outputs, and symmetrical components.
Two measuring cursors allow engineers to evaluate fault traces quickly and accurately. Users can also add additional fault records. For example, engineers can drag and drop records from the opposite end of a line to compare signals easily. SIGRA 4 can display signals from multiple fault records in one diagram. The software automatically synchronizes them to a common time base. This feature helps engineers analyze faults more effectively.
Fault location is another critical aspect of disturbance analysis. Accurate fault location saves valuable time during field inspection. SIGRA 4 supports this process through its offline fault localization feature. The software works with all fault records in the COMTRADE file format, making it compatible with many protection devices. Users can also test the software with a 30-day trial version to explore its full capabilities.
