SIEMENS RUGGEDCOM MX5000RE TOUGH ENCLOSURE

The Ruggedcom MX5000RE Tough Enclosure comes with the MX5000 pre-installed and fully cabled within the RUGGEDCOM RX5000 enclosure. The RUGGEDCOM-Selector lets you configure RUGGEDCOM products quickly and efficiently, either by navigating selection menus or by entering item numbers. Selected products can then be ordered directly by transferring the parts list into the Industry Mall.

The RUGGEDCOM RX5000 enclosure is a durable aluminum case designed to enhance the MX5000’s shock and vibration performance while further reducing its already low electronic emissions. It uses EMI glass and includes a patch panel with EMI gaskets to minimize emissions. This hard-mounted enclosure is part of Siemens’ advanced networking solutions. It is specifically designed for harsh environments, such as those found in military applications.

Proven reliability

For RUGGEDCOM products, Siemens performs Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT) early in development to detect design or performance issues. Later, Highly Accelerated Stress Screening (HASS) ensures that customers receive products free of manufacturing errors and random defects. The proliferation of IP networking in real-time, mission-critical control applications requires greater immunity to electromagnetic interference (EMI) than commercial-grade networking products provide. This innovation – known as Zero Packet Loss™ technology – is designed to provide the same level of EMI immunity as protective relaying devices.

These features include multilevel user passwords, SSH/SSL (128-bit encryption), and the ability to enable or disable ports.
