Its modular flexibility provides up to 28 non-blocking ports that can be configured as 10/100/1000TX copper, 100FX or 1000SX fiber. The 1U form factor and vertical loading design give users the flexibility and simplicity needed to efficiently implement, maintain, and expand a broadband local area network.

Running on the Rugged Operating System (ROS^®), it also offers precision timing, timing conversion, universal power supply options as well as cybersecurity and management tools.

RUGGEDCOM RSG2488 Ethernet Switches PRECISION TIMING

RSG2488 can operate as an IEEE 1588 transparent clock, ordinary clock, master clock and supports both 1-step and 2-step operations. The available PTP module allows the RSG2488 to receive timing information from GPS. It can also serve as a grandmaster clock for downstream time recipients.
